My ReflectionsGame is globalised, that's for sure. Almost all teenagers had gamed before, or at least saw how a video game is played regardless the games which they play or see are violent or non-violent. Making a successful game for a company means great revenue. Technlogy has made companies to have the ability to make the games to look so real, as though one is really killing a real person in the game. The above cartoon is addressing the issue of violent video games causing aggression in teenagers nowadays. It had been a issue for quite some time and some psychologists even put off violent video games as the scapegoat for Massacres one example is that After the 1999 murders at suburban Denver's Columbine High School, experts, politicians and news outlets linked Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold's fascination with the violent video game "Doom" to the gun and bomb attack in which they killed 12 students and a teacher before committing suicide.
(in reference to: http://sg.news.yahoo.com/070420/3/47z8j.html) There are many disadvantages of playing those games and it is proven that Kids immersed in such games are likely to develop high adrenaline rates which can lead to hyper-aggressiveness as well as symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder.
(in reference to: http://www.safetyed.org/help/electgames.html) Nonetheless, if the child is addicted to it, he might forsake his studies and family just to play it.
The question is whether games has any educational value at all. Games like Grand theft Auto which is a big hit has minimum educational purpose as the character in it (the person who is playing thr game) are just doing illegal things like stealing a car and running from a police after that.

a scenario in Grand Theft Auto whereby the character steals the taxiThere are still games which are non-violent and still a big hit, eg. Sims. In the game one is required to build a house and create a family, games like this can educate children more on family building and bonding.
To deal with these problems of agression in teenagers due to violent games, many coutries has placed censorship to some games. Grand Theft Auto III had been banned in Singapore, due to its violent and explicit content. Parents can actually play a part too in preventing their children to be addicted from all these games.
