English
English is a West Germanic language developed in England, and the first language for most people in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is used extensively as a second language and as an official language throughout the world, especially in Commonwealth countries such as India, Pakistan and South Africa, as well as in many international organizations.
Modern English is sometimes described as the world's lingua franca. English is the dominant international language in communications, science, business, aviation, entertainment, diplomacy and the Internet. The influence of the is the primary reason for the initial spread of the language far beyond the British Isles. Following World War II, the increased economic and cultural influence of the United States led the permeation by English of many other cultures, chiefly through development of telecommunications technology.
Because a working knowledge of English is required in many fields, professions, and occupations, education ministries throughout the world mandate the teaching of English, at least at a basic level (see English language learning and teaching), in an effort to increase the competitiveness of their economies. English is also one of six official working languages of the United Nations.
english has become an official language for the world to communicate with one another from all parts of the world. without this global language, the world will not be able to communicate with one another, and thus unable to discuss and resolve many political issues such as global warming.
without westerners emigrating to all parts of the world, there will not be the globalization of this language for communication. they have also spread the belief of Americanism as well which is the widespread of their own culture. that explains why we have people behaving like Americans in countries with a majority population of Chinese.
